However, of the 3 machines I have at home, this Singer 99 model from 1922 is my favorite. My grandmother was a dressmaker and used a table-top Singer with the foot pedals, and mummy had an electric Singer that sat in a similar base as this one. Stitching with this makes me feel close to my grandmother, and mummy, and all the women in my family who used these machine
