The acme threading is turning out flawless👌🏻 This is how a lathe is suppose to thread. Perfectly aligned each and every pass. No follower rest needed for this shaft. The sides of the threads look just a nice as the grind on the carbide insert, almost like it’s a ground thread. Needless to say, I’m happy with how our new @pmmachines412 lathe is performing. 3/4-5 left hand acme thread. #abom79 #singlepointthreading #acmethread #leadscrew #precisionmatthewslathe #manualmachining #manualmachinist

The collar, which in this case is the anvil striker's swivel joint, has a friction diameter of 1 in. Calculations are to be based on a maximum force of 8 lbf applied to the handle at a radius of 3 (1)/(2) in from the screw centerline. Find the clamping force. | Numerade
